Family care model

We follow a unique family care model.

We expect and encourage a member of the patient’s family, someone who is most likely to look after the patient at home, to be with the patient at the Centre as a caregiver.

Our team makes systematic use of simple graphics and hands-on sessions to educate and empower the caregiver. He or she begins to make effective use of the pain chart, learns to clean and dress wounds, uses the catheter and does bladder wash. The strong family bond of love overcomes illiteracy and fear.

Now that the caregiver is trained and more confident, the patient continues to get proper care and attention even after going back home. This also spares the family the additional expenditure of hiring a nurse.

We are always there to help, should the patient or the caregiver need some support at any point of time, even after discharge.
